The 1990 Ibanez S540 SLTD is one of the first Sabre series guitars.
It is a Japanese made electric that is the precursor to the Prestige models. This model features DiMarzio made Ibanez USA pickups. The F3 neck pickup is compared to the PAF Pro in output and sound quality, the C3 middle pickup is a non stacked single coil pickup that complements that F2 and F2 humbuckers, the F2 bridge pickup is a very responsive, high output humbucking pickup for that classic lead tone. This guitar is original and in very good condition. There are a few light marks and some pick wear and belt buckle rash as well as one ding on the lower portion of the body. Overall, this guitar plays like a winner. The tone is a mix of classic and modern, perfect for nearly any style of music.
